Glass Types We offer three different types of glass for your Oasis® sunroom. All glass options are available in all our models, except the Leisure Room 3000®. The Leisure Room 3000® is only available with insulated LoĒ². All Leisure Room® models are standard with tempered glass. This is for safety and protection. LoĒ² Glass Tempered LoĒ² (low E squared) glass tempered , manufactured by Cardinal® IG, is a superior insulated glass by reducing the loss of radiant heat in the winter (the heat from your furnace) and reducing heat and damaging ultraviolet rays entering into your Oasis® sunroom during the summer. LoĒ² is actually two layers of silver in a multilayered film which includes other chemicals such as titanium dioxide and nickel. LoĒ² is used in insulated glass which is filled with argon gas for more energy efficiency. In warm seasons, LoĒ² keeps much of the heat out of the patio enclosure and reduces dramatically the fading damage from ultraviolet rays. In cool or cold seasons, LoĒ² keeps the heat in and the cold outside where it belongs. LoĒ² uses an XL spacer system. Warm edge characteristics of XL Edge reduce the frequency and amount of condensation during the most extreme temperature conditions. LoĒ² is available on all patio rooms manufactured by Joyce™. This is a solar control glass which reduces heat penetration and ultraviolet rays from entering your Oasis® patio room. PPG Solex green tempered glass is available in single glaze only. Single Clear Tempered Glass Single clear is 1/8” clear tempered glass.
